I'm might be a little big for my britches....

It seems lately like I tell my mom and dad to "STOP doing that" and I find myself going to time out.  Most recently I quietly unlocked the sliding glass doors and just went out to get the leaves out of the gutter.  My mama totally freaked and I found myself getting my mouth washed out with soap and spending time in my bedroom.  It was just a ladder, sorry I spit when you pulled me down Mama but I was helping my dad (he just wasn't home yet to need my help.)
My mama says this weather has been a real blessing.  I've only seen snow 1 time, so I'm not sure what she is saying.  BUT, yesterday we had the best Sat. of my life.  I had music class in the morning and then Mama and my dad took me to the zoo.  We ended the night with Balluminaria.  It was so strange....big candles lighting up hot air balloons.

Happy Halloween!

Well we practiced and practiced but I got a little shy at the real houses.  My mama was so nice and I loved practicing but I said it very soft when I knocked on the doors with Minnie and Nan.

I had a great evening and went to many a Halloween party this year. My cousin Tom's Birthday was the best--I hope this is a new tradition!

@ 2 1/2, I'm all about MOVING & staying busy!

I'm one of the luckiest little guys I know.  I get to play with my dad and help him "work".  I'm getting very good at his drill and practice on his tool bench almost every evening.  But lately the weather has been so good I want to be outside all the time.  My mama and dad take turns taking me but I like when dad goes outside because he lets me go really fast on my bike.  We take a long walk down the hill to Mt. Lookout square UDF where I sometimes share my milkshake with him,and then we ride all the way to the playground and back to my house.  It is far and I get tired but we love going and running really fast at the soccer field by the playground.

We also met my cousins at the farm one Sat. and played all day.  Freeman and I rode anything and everything with a motor--tractors and jeeps are our favorites!  I love anything that moves and last weekend went to see my Uncle Mawk for Aunt Mindy's birthday.  We rode the train 4x.  Mawk calls it the L but I want it be called Chawley's house because I love it.  "Doors opening, doors closing".  I could work on that train!

If you run into me soon, I have a song I would like to share with you....well really LOTS of song.  I sing constantly!

And the Pool closes.....

My days and many evenings this past summer have included the pool with Mama and Dad.  I really love the pool and have gotten very brave.  Dad doesn't like that part so well but I can really go anywhere along the wall. I jump to mom if she holds her hands out and love to walk on my tippy toes.  That really makes Dad nervous!  I have taken a few slips under the water but none that made me cry or get really scared, so I have had a very FUN and safe summer.  The pool is closing in 3 days.  :(  I hope my mama gets me swim lessons somewhere b/c tonight was the first night I ever jumped in without her holding my hands.  AND it was only b/c I watched a little girl do it first.  (Although my mom says I watched a zillion people jump all summer) but tonight it clicked.  I dived in, and twisted jump-ded, and lots of jump-deds that splashed my mama.

Lake George

A couple of buddies and I went to a lake this past weekend.  It was a FUN weekend, even if we had to share some of the lake house with our parents.  Oh well....they were pretty manageable.  We had a great time, on a slow boat and a super fast boat.  My mom even went boating in a flat one called a kayak.  Basically it was just really good food, good friends, and A LOT of playing!  There was a guy seated on a bench in the hallway of this lake house who let us climb all over him.  His name was Ol' MacDonald , but people kept calling him Ronald McDonald.  I'm not sure who that guy is, but me and Ol' MacDonald were buds!  We stayed in a bedroom that had a name it was called Mayor McCheese's Suite, we even had hamburger placemats in case we got messy at lunch.  All my buddies were there and I had a blast.

I lead a very good life!

What a summer it has been.  I'm having a a ball--I have traveled everywhere and hope to keep traveling.  My mama and dad went to Sweden and I stayed with everyone who loves me.  They were very good to me, my dad says TOO GOOD to me.  :)  He's just jealous.
My days always include some fun activity.  That can be the zoo, the pool--lots of different pools, a playground, the library, the museum center, riding my bike, piano lessons, or jumping around and swinging like a monkey at the zoo.  I get around.  I even took an airplane ride to Houston, Texas.  It was a long trip, and Mama and I got in trouble a few times, but I was already seated so time outs were impossible.  I have had lots of time with friends and family and really things are a blast right now.
My Mama and Dad can't believe all the stuff I can say.  I sing the alphabet and "Drop of Golden Sun" (Do-Re-Mi) all day long.  It makes Dad crazy but Mama loves it.  I'm really not quiet unless I'm napping.  My Mama and Dad are trying to decide what kind of things they should get to decorate my new bedroom, but I really love everything, here are my favorites right now.
      1)  Grandpa's tractor is really it--I talk about it every day and I love to drive it, slow on the driveway
      2)  I love music with all my heart and sing round the clock - I especially love to sing about the Farm and my favorite horse Lucky and those MOO cows
      3)  I will do anything Mama asks if I get to see Sarah Jane or my Papaw.  I'm a big people lover
      4)  I'm very into reading books right now and even lick my thumb to turn the pages like my Nana.  I read at least 25 a day and love the library.
      5)  My bike and swinging on the monkey bars is the best....
See why my life is so great?  I'm just a real happy guy and love that I get to do so much.  Did I mention how much I love swimming, and oh....I love that tractor!

Kings Island

My mom has three more weeks of school.  She is really tired of it, and she is very hot there.  There's no A/C and she said the fans blow on her students to keep them awake, not on her.  But I have officially started summer and my babysitter Betsy took me to Kings Island today for the first time ever.  It was great, my neck hurts a little tonight from all the scanning I was doing with my eyes.  It was really a fun time.  I hope my mama and dada take me back soon.  My friend Sammy got to go with me, he is a good map reader and companion.  He lets me call the shots, at least this year--next fall will probably be a different story....

My parents think I am pretty hilarious lately.  On Monday my mama was in the bathroom drying her hair.  She wasn't all the way dressed for work but she did have her shirt on.  Dad and I came up to get me dressed for Betsy's house and when I saw her I said, "Get 'er fanny Dad, get 'er fanny now dad!"  They laughed and laughed.  They get my fanny every night when I'm getting ready for bed, seemed like the right time to get Mama's.
